Cruise Vacations

Each cruise line offers you a unique vacation in terms of atmosphere, service, size and style of staterooms or suites, as well as entertainment, dining and so much more. It’s that very reason that relying on a Cruise Holidays cruise expert to help you plan your vacation can be so priceless. Below, you’ll find a summary of the major cruise lines, sorted into three basic categories: Luxury, Premium, Contemporary, and River Cruise. Onboard, any Cruise line, you will find all kinds of travelers-First time cruisers checking out their very first ship; family reunions, honeymooners, social groups, and avid travelers looking for value.

Cruise Types

Luxury

Luxury cruise lines have long enticed travelers seeking a superior experience. They are the most comfortable and convenient way to see the world. Ships are usually smaller in size so the ratio of crew to guests is generally higher than other cruise ships, offering that premium service and attention to detail to be expected of exquisite holidays. Some offer exotic voyages to faraway destinations, while others attract travelers with comfortable cabins and stimulating enrichment programs.

Premium

A premium style of cruise ship combines the personal service and intimate spaces of a small ship with the choice of facilities offered by larger ships. They will offer product features all of the same shipboard amenities as a typical resort / contemporary cruise (spas, health clubs, pools, multiple dining options and restaurants, intimate lounges and incredible entertainment, age specific children’s programs, casinos and more) but offers additional upscale features for discerning travelers. Premium class cruises typically feature additional guest space, art collections, refined service and gourmet style cuisine.

River Cruises

These ships are smaller and they sail on rivers, not oceans. They voyage on the inland waterways — rivers — of Europe, Asia, and the Americas. These ships stop at river ports: often the region’s oldest and most colorful towns. River cruise ships are quite small. They typically are long, low-lying European riverboats that hold 100 to 200 passengers while others can be a steam-powered paddlewheel boat that carries 432 passengers!
